What personal information we collect when you use CF Legal's document preparation, mobile notary, and certified-translation services, how we store and protect it, and how you can access, correct, or delete it.

Section 1
What data we collect
Three categories — intake form, uploaded documents, payment

We collect personal information only when you give it to us — typically when you pay for a service, complete an intake questionnaire, upload supporting documents, or contact us. We do not buy or scrape personal data from third parties.

(a) Intake form fields(a) Campos del formulario de intake

When you complete a service questionnaire — for immigration forms, family law petitions, FOIA records requests, DCF applications, or any other intake — we collect the answers you provide. This typically includes:

(b) Uploaded documents(b) Documentos subidos

When you upload a file as part of your case, intake, or self-service order (notary, translation, DCF, kit, marketplace form), we store it in our case management database and on Cloudflare R2 object storage.

(c) Payment data(c) Datos de pago

All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We never see or store your full card number, expiration date, or CVV. Stripe provides us only with: payment status, amount, currency, the last 4 digits of the card (for receipt display), and the Stripe transaction ID. Card data is entered directly on Stripe's hosted checkout pages over HTTPS.

Section 2
How we store and protect your data
Postgres · R2 · encrypted sessions · no card numbers stored

We use a multi-layer infrastructure designed to keep personal data safe without slowing your case down.

Section 3
What we use your data for
Service delivery — never marketing lists, never sold

We use the personal data you provide for narrow, service-related purposes only:

We do not:No hacemos:

Section 4
Cookies, analytics, and tracking
Plausible (cookieless) + GA4 — no Facebook Pixel here

We use analytics tools to understand which pages help our clients and where the site can improve. We deliberately do not load the Facebook Pixel or any other cross-site advertising tracker on this Privacy Policy page.

Section 5
How long we keep your data
Florida retention law applies — some data cannot be deleted on request

Retention periods differ by record type. Where Florida law or tax recordkeeping requires us to keep something, we keep it for the required period even if you ask for deletion.

Section 6
Your rights: access, correction, deletion
Email us — 30-day response — verifiable identity required

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, send a signed email to cflegaldocprepservices@gmail.com from the same email address on your case. We respond within 30 days.

To protect your data, we require a basic identity verification step before fulfilling any access, correction, or deletion request. We will not act on requests that come from an email we cannot match to an active or closed case.Para proteger sus datos, requerimos un paso básico de verificación de identidad antes de cumplir cualquier solicitud de acceso, corrección o eliminación. No actuaremos sobre solicitudes que provengan de un correo que no podamos asociar a un caso activo o cerrado.

Section 7
Children's data
Services for minors only with parent or guardian direction

Our services are purchased by adults. We prepare immigration and family-law paperwork that may include a minor child (for example, a child named on an I-130 petition or a dependent on an I-485 application). When we collect information about a minor, we are collecting it at the direction of the child's parent or legal guardian, who is the client of record. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 outside this parent/guardian-directed work. If you believe we have collected information about a minor outside this context, contact us to request deletion.

Section 8
Changes to this policy
Effective date is listed at the bottom of this page

If we make material changes to this policy — for example, adding a new category of data we collect, or changing the retention period — we will notify you by:

Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not accept the updated policy, you may close your account by following the deletion process in Section 6.
